Fila currently has an opportunity for a DC Maintenance Manager in our Baltimore – Curtis Bay location.  This Manager will be reporting to the Vice President, Distribution with overall responsibility for facility and grounds maintenance including overseeing the janitorial, snowplowing, HVAC, fixing electrical, conveyor, automation systems, racking etc.  This qualified individual will be responsible for implementing preventive maintenance programs, SOP’s and procedures.

 

The position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop/maintain maintenance best practices, preventative maintenance programs 
* Review mechanical design projects for possible growth opportunities or enhancements to current system based on business strategy 
* Assist VP of Distribution with site surveys, scope walks, plan review, system inspections, punch lists for new/remodel construction if required
* Provide ongoing development, maintenance, training on maintenance dispatch system 
* Communicate period financial results regarding allocated/direct maintenance, expense initiatives, programs’ successes/opportunities 
* Negotiate with/oversee performance of 3rd party vendors 
* Develop, implement, report strategic 5-year business plans for maintenance expense controls/reduction 
* Develop/oversee capital equipment replacement requirements/program 
* Utilize procurement software to build project costs 
* Develop scope of work, request for proposal/manage vendor bidding process for maintenance projects 
* Manage preparation of expense/capital budgets for distribution maintenance 
* Manage administration related to capital/non-capital projects, including preparation of schedules, agreements, coordination of contractors, vendors, and consultants, if applicable 
* Track project costs/expenses in relation to project/expense budgets 
* Responsible for All HVAC, office, grounds, warehouse, conveyor systems, motors, pallet racking, forklifts, battery charging areas, parking areas, janitors and maintenance of the facility 
* Communicate with departments regarding store operations capital projects/non-capital expenditures 
* Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.

Qualifications: 
* Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related field 
* Proven project management experience 
* Knowledge of FILA policies, procedures, organizational structure  
* Required/Current Electricians Certification license 
* Previous experience as Refrigeration Technician, Energy Technician, Project Manager 
* Three years of experience in refrigeration service and general maintenance or combination of relevant education and experience 
* Ability to travel independently on a regular basis/work weekends on an occasional basis 
* Maintain confidentiality 
* Accuracy/attention to detail 
* Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects 
* Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes 
* Technical knowledge of refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning & Research (HVAC&R) controls, test equipment, materials, tools, maintenance, energy 
* Knowledge and hands on experience of repair, maintenance and installation techniques 
* Skill in reading/understanding schematics and working knowledge of repairing PLC control systems
* Skill in analyzing HVAC or refrigeration malfunctions from performance/test equipment readings and determining appropriate repairs 
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions 
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables 
* Effective verbal/written communication skills 
* Ability to work independently or in groups/teams 
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 
* Valid driver’s license
