Cilic Wins Zagreb in front of home crowd

Fresh off a win in Chennai and advancing to the Semifinals of the Australian Open, Marin Cilic retained his Zagreb Open title today. In front of a home crowd, Cilic defeated German journeyman Michael Berrer 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 6-3 in just over two-and-a-half hours.

As reported by the AFP, Marin said the following about the match:
It was not easy. He (Berrer) is left-handed, has a different system of playing … Most of the time I was on the defensive, it was not easy to get to attack and get points.
