Lewis Ready for Any Challenge at LPGA Champs

The LPGA championship presented by Wegmans has finally begun. This four-day tournament located at the Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, NY is from June 24th -27th. Leaving her rookie status behind, this second year golf pro is looking for her first victory on the LPGA Tour. Lewis has finished top 3 in previous tournaments since turning pro, but a win is on her mind this LPGA championship. Not only does Lewis show top potential, she also demonstrates the ability to conquer obstacles outside the green. Suffering from a serious case of scoliosis, Lewis was forced to pass on playing her first year at the University of Arkansas in order to have a crucial back surgery to attach a single rod and 5 screws to her spine. Since then, Stacy Lewis has been an inspiration to golfers and athletes worldwide due to her tremendous determination and spirit to overcome such a challenging disease.
