WATER
FOR LIFE

FILA marks a year-long partnership with charity: water to help provide clean water to vulnerable communities in developing countries. This is a crucial endeavor during the COVID-19 health crisis and we are proud to be their partner at this time.

charity: water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to developing countries.

FILA’s donation to the organization helped fund ten clean water projects in Malawi, in southeastern Africa. charity: water partners with World Vision in Ntcheu District of Malawi to implement new and rehabilitated wells, mechanized pipe systems, and water points and sanitation projects in schools.

HOW IT'S DONE

charity: water’s 100% Model allows for all public donations to directly fund sustainable clean water projects. The organization works with experienced local partners in countries around the world to implement the work and then proves every project with photos and GPS coordinates.

Their 100% Model is made possible by a group of private donors and brand partners that funds all of charity: water’s overhead costs.

CLEAN WATER

There are more than 785 million people in the world who do not have access to clean water. The lack of access breeds disease, deprives children of education, and, ultimately prevents families and communities from reaching their full potential.

When those communities get access to clean water, it can improve health, increase access to food, grow local economies, and help advance childhood education.

STATS AS OF OCTOBER 2020

The mission to bring clean water to those in need is especially impactful for women and young girls. In Sub-Saharan Africa, women are responsible for over 70% of water collected, spending a combined total of 16 million hours per day on the task.

When a community is able to easily access clean water, women and girls get their lives back. They invest their time in education, start businesses, improve their homes, and take charge of their own futures.
