The Fila Distribution Center located in the Curtis Bay area is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor. 

 

This individual is responsible for assisting the manager in establishing their subordinates clear understanding of their work responsibilities through effectively directing, motivating, evaluating and coaching subordinates to attain the organizational and productivity goals to effectively balance the work flow of the department. It will be crucial the candidate be able to trouble shoot conveyor controls systems by monitoring and modifying the various PLC applications throughout the facility.

 

The accountabilities of this position include but not limited to:

* Experience managing staff of a minimum of 5 employees supporting and operation of at least 50 employees

* Professionally approaches and documents employee performance issues and directs or seeks additional counsel to resolve issues or concerns

* Models appropriate behavior in following company rules, regulations and directives.

* Sources problems and identify future problems by conducting daily walk down of facility. 

* Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance tasks for all equipment in the facility.

* Evaluate and fix all mechanical problems in the warehouse – trucks, conveyors, etc.

* Complete and maintain proper paperwork for completed work orders

* Maintain appropriate parts inventory – recommends contractors or alternative solutions to problems

* Resource to other mechanics to assist them in their task

* Distributes work to mechanics

 

The minimum qualifications include:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to systematically analyze and interpret critical departmental issues and formulate effective recommendations.

* Ability to effectively blend management skills with basic technical expertise.

* Proactive problem solver with initiative

*  Self-Motivated, team player

* Minimum of 5 years mechanic experience in Automated or fully intergraded manufacturing or distribution environment. Must be well rounded with electrical, carpentry, etc. 

* Technical School Certificate and or Equivalent Maintenance background to include electrical,

plumbing and carpentry. 

* High School Diploma or Equivalent; Some College preferred

* Microsoft office, project, cad, MP2, and PLC programming experience required
